Resident Email Alerts
City Police Safer City Wards teams, working with Safer City
Partnerships (formerly known as the Crime and Disorder Reduction
Partnership) and Vocal, will pilot a new community email system
that regularly updates subscribers on residential community
issues.
Fortnightly messages will be emailed providing information on:
policing operations targeting residential community priorities;
feedback on police operations to combat anti-social problems;
forthcoming road closures; crime prevention advice identifying
current crime methods.
Supt Lorraine Cussen from City of London Police Snow Hill
Division said:
'The email system will reach and engage with a wider and more
diverse community than those who attend the Cluster and Ward
meetings. It is designed to follow the wards policing ethos
of reducing the fear of crime.'
Subscription to the system will be free and can be sent to
either a work or home address. The database will be confidential
and residents will be able to subscribe to the scheme, or remove
their details at any time.
