Update on bar killing

A 27-year-old man today (12 May) pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to the manslaughter of Lee Cook at a City bar in July 2007.

Rick Maynard, from Woodford Green, Essex, was remanded in custody.

Adam Lowe, 27, a City of London Police officer from Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire was acquitted of murder and manslaughter after the prosecution offered no evidence against him.

Barrister's clerk Lee Cook, 21, from Harold Wood, Essex, died following an incident at the Alibi bar in Shoe Lane, on July 20 2007.
