Making sure that everyone who lives, works or travels through
the City has a say in how our area is policed. That is the ethos at
the heart of Safer City Wards.
The community must feel confident in getting involved and
influencing police and partner priorities and activities in their
area. What a local shopkeeper or other small business owner needs
from us and how it suits them to tell us about their concerns can
be very different from the needs and way of working of a
multinational bank. The issues that reduce residents' quality of
life will be different again.
To reflect these different needs, City Police has devised a
range of ways for our
communities to engage with us:
- Cluster panel meetings
- Ward surgeries
- Office watch
- Pub Watch
- Environmental Visual Audits
- Face-to-face surveys and interviews
- Targeted consultation
In addition to these, members of the public can speak to their
ward constable in person, by mobile telephone or email. They can
also find their way through to their ward constable via our front
offices or the main switch-board.
If you would like a visit from one of the ward teams or would
