The City of London seeks to promote the Square
Mile internationally. We assist in two main ways:
Overseas visits
The Lord Mayor travels extensively overseas to promote the City
and the expertise of City firms. The Lord Mayor is normally
accompanied by a business delegation. Senior Members of the City of
London also travel overseas, usually to maintain contact with
overseas owners of businesses in the Square Mile. The International
Affairs Team assists in the arrangement of these visits

Inward visits
The City of London receives many high-level overseas visitors
during the year including politicians, business figures,
administrators and academics. In partnership with other
organisations, we are able to arrange meetings between these
visitors and City firms.
