City Recycling
The City of London offers a through
commercial recycling service. The service which operates on an
'all in one bin' system allows businesses to show that they
are committed to recycling, but without spending valuable time
in the working day sorting out all the different waste streams
into different bins.
This fast and easy method means you simply put all your
recyclable items in the same container. We provide from a minimum
once weekly to a daily collection service (Mon - Fri) and then do
all the sorting for you.
For more information on this service please visit the
commercial recycling page.
Other recycling and reuse organisations
It is not always possible to get all of your waste and
recyclables collected through one contractor, for this reason the
Clean City Awards Team have compiled a list of other organisations,
charities and not for profit companies that will be able to help
you recycle or reuse those more difficult material
streams.

Smoking Litter
Campaign
Smoking related litter in the City is one of
the main problems that faces Cleansing Services on a daily basis,
and comprises over 25% of all street arisings.
Keep Britain Tidy is currently running a campaign
to stamp out cigarette litter. The initiative is targeted at
smokers who dispose of their cigarette ends incorrectly and is
aimed at encouraging them to be more responsible and not
to litter. The Clean City Awards Scheme would like to
encourage City businesses to take on this campaign within their
work places by downloading the following posters and displaying
them to their staff. CCAS would also encourage those companies
that do this to register their support on the
Encams website.
The following posters are available to download and
use in your work place. Alternatively, if you would prefer these on
a disk email us.
