Commercial waste - spillage


Commercial waste must be packed in suitable containers so that it cannot fall out, blow away or escape from the receptacle such that it could cause pollution or harm to anyone.

Under the duty of care regulations spillages or incorrect waste storage is the responsibility of the producer of the waste and they must ensure that their waste is contained properly and securely to ensure that spillage does not occur.
