The Team also investigates accidents and complaints about work
place conditions, offers advice to City businesses on legal
compliance and promotes good practice through advice.
To further assist City businesses, the Team operates a “Single
Point of Contact” scheme (SPOC) in support of the HSE's national
Lead Authority Partnership Scheme. This offers
City businesses the opportunity of dealing with a single
Environmental Health Officer across all their City sites when
requesting health & safety information or advice. In turn that
officer increasingly deals with all enforcement issues regarding
that company as they become more aware of its organisation,
structure, policies and procedures.
