Reducing re-offending

Although re-offending rates in the City of London are low when compared to elsewhere, it is still important for us to focus on our prolific and persistent offenders in order to bring levels of crime down further. A number of projects exist that focus on offenders. Other areas have shown considerable advances when moving to an Integrated Offenders Management (IOM) system. This involves developing better support and end-to-end management of offenders through the alignment of Prolific and other Priority Offender Scheme (PPO), the Drug Interventions Programme (DIP) and other programmes aimed at offenders and those likely to offend.
