Book of Remembrance

The Book of Remembrance The volumes of the Book of Remembrance provide a simple and lasting memorial and are displayed in the Chapel of Remembrance. The book contains a page for each day of the year and the pages are turned daily.

You decide on which date the entry is to appear and you can then come and see your loved one's epitaph on that date each year.

This date is personal to you and can be, for example, the date of death, the date of cremation, the birthday or wedding anniversary.

The volumes are displayed in glass cabinets in the Hall of Remembrance. There is also an electronic display in the office which enables you to view any page of any of the books. Replicas of your entry are available if you want to keep a copy of the epitaph.

Inscriptions can be ordered online or by filling in a form (tel 020 8530 9828).

Please note that orders must be received five clear months before date of entry. For replicas, delivery times are between two and four weeks.

Online Book of Remembrance
The Book of Remembrance has been digitised and available for viewing in the administration office at the Cemetery for several years. Now, as an additional service the Book of Remembrance is available to view online.

By clicking on the link below you will be able to view dedications by selecting firstly the day and month on which it appears in the Book, and secondly by selecting the volume that the dedication appears in.

While each volume is represented by a button on the screen, only those shown with a boxed surround will contain entries that match your individual search criteria.

The pages of the book will be displayed separately for left and right page, and you will need to navigate the page to find and centralise the inscription you wish to view.

The page files are large and may take a short time to load.
