Tree trail

Sweet gumThere are two tree trails at the City of London Cemetery and Crematorium - one around the cemetery (taking in 43 trees along the way), and one around the memorial garden.

Weeping silver lime or weeping white linden
The free guide - available from our online bookshop - includes numerous pictures of the trees, a map of each trail and lists of the trees with both their common and latin names. Descriptions of the individual trees include such details as the place of origin of the tree, when it flowers and the approximate height to which it grows.

Japanese cherry blossomSchool groups are welcome by prior arrangement - sorry no dogs except guide dogs.

As well as the trees, the cemetery has been planted with a wealth of flowering shrubs and its rhododendrons offer a spectacular display in late spring. For details of how to get here and facilities for disabled visitors, please see our ' contacts' page.
