Special interest groups

The City of London promotes consultation and engagement with our communities through a range of groups and forums. These include:

  • The City of London Access Group, which provides opportunities for service providers to hear from disabled residents and workers and those who have an interest in disability issues.
Further information and about the groups and feedback from the meetings
  • A City Youth Forum, which is now in place providing regular opportunities for young people’s views to be heard.
  • The City’s Golden Lane Leisure Centre User Group allows residents to input to the centre’s programming and speak with the management team. Further information and to find out about meeting dates.
  • The City of London Adults Services Section hosts an annual Older Persons Forum. The Forum is a day long event which gives older people an opportunity to discuss what is going on for them in the City and meet and ask questions of representatives from organisations such as Health and Social Care and elected Members. The Forum also gives older people the chance to talk about how services affect them and suggest changes. There is always a report on the follow up to actions that have been suggested, in the Forum newsletter. The Forum is open to all City residents over 50. Older residents are also invited to join our Readers Group which helps the City with consultation on developing services.
