The City of London Local Authority (LA) has a duty to identify
all pupils resident in the City for whom special educational
provision should be made and to arrange that provision.
Arrangements for special educational needs are made on an
individual basis, in close consultation with parents and the school
which the child is or will be attending. Where it is necessary to
assess a child's Special Educational Needs (SEN), the LA will write
to the parents to inform them that it proposes to make an
assessment, and will name the officer from whom further information
can be obtained.

Disabled student support
If you have a disability and you have extra
course-related costs to study or attend your course, you may
claim for certain extra expenses. These costs may, for
example, be due to physical disabilities, mental-health
problems, sensory impairments, specific learning difficulties or
medical conditions such as diabetes.
