Clothing grants

If you receive

  • Child Tax Credit/Working Tax Credit, please note the following: annual household income, assessed by the HMRC, must not exceed £15,575
  • Income Support
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Guarantee element of Pension Credit
  • Widowed Mothers/Parents Allowance
  • Incapacity Benefit
  • State Retirement Pension

A grant of £110 maybe paid to families resident in the City who are on low income and have children are transferring from primary to a publicly funded secondary school - only where there is an agreed school uniform. Where secondary schools do not have an agreed school uniform, no grant would be payable.

Whom do I contact for an application form?

All applications for clothing grant must be made to the Local Authority where you live.
