Following the Health and Social Care Bill in January 2011, the City applied for and was accepted as an early implementer of a health and wellbeing board.

The City has subsequently launched a shadow health and wellbeing board to support the transition towards a full board Health and Wellbeing by 2013.

During this time, decisions will be made on the HWB’s scope, sub groups and how it will continue the work carried out by the now disbanded Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership (CYPSP) and Adult Wellbeing Partnership (AWP).
