For day to day building control purposes, the City is divided into three geographical areas, each of which has a multi-disciplinary technical team dealing in all aspects of Building Control, entertainments licensing and dangerous structures.

Each area comprises a team leader, four or five project surveyors specialising in fire safety and / or structural engineering, an engineer specialising in mechanical and electrical services and an engineer specialising in drainage.

To ensure that the service we provide is always of the highest level, we are constantly improving our technical knowledge by attending professional training courses and lectures on a regular basis, and through use of an electronic technical information system which gives us instant access to up-to-date legislation and product literature.
