The City of London believes that
local people should be consulted on the management of Ashtead
Common. To this end, the Ashtead Common Consultative Committee
(which meets twice a year to discuss the management of the
Common) includes representatives from members of the City of
London, English Nature, Mole Valley District Council, Surrey
County Council, Ashtead Residents' Association, Ramblers'
Association, British Horse Society, Leatherhead & District
Countryside Protection Society, Ashtead Common Volunteers,
Surrey Wildlife Trust, Lower Mole Countryside Management
Project and the Cyclists' Touring Club.
The Site Management Plan 2005-2010 is available either as the
entire document or in chapters. This is a working document, used
by staff use to manage Ashtead Common on a daily basis.
