Field Studies Centre

The Epping Forest Field Studies Centre in High Beach offers a wide range of courses for adults, children and families across the whole year.

Courses offered for adults include all aspects of the local environment, learning about the countryside, its wildlife and the environment. Many are suitable for those wanting to find out more about the local area and some for those with a professional interest. Courses include, Spring & Autumn Walks, Discovering Bats, Discovering Wild Flowers, Painting & Drawing in Epping Forest and Natural History of Veteran Trees. For a full list of courses view the FSC web site http://www.field-studies-council.org/eppingforest/leisurelearning.aspx

Eco-Activities include 'safaris' for children during school holidays, 'drop in days' for the whole family to come along and take part for as long as you want, and 'family courses' with more in depth discovery of specific subjects. Activities include: Darwin Day, Pond Dipping, Navigation, Amphibians, Bats and Fungi. For a full list of courses view the FSC web site http://www.field-studies-council.org/eppingforest/ecoactivities.aspx
