Statement of Community Involvement


The City of London is drawing up a new plan for the Square Mile, called the Local Development Framework and will guide decisions on planning applications, environmental improvement and traffic management.

The City of London wants the communities within the Square Mile to have a say in the planning decisions that shape its future. So it has published its proposals for public consultation on preparing the Local Development Framework and deciding planning applications in the City. These proposals are set out in the Statement of Community Involvement, which was adopted in July 2006.

The SCI states that the City of London will maintain lists of bodies that it intends to consult when preparing planning policies and considering planning applications, which can be downloaded here:
