Sustainable City Awards

SCA Logo  The Sustainable City Awards are now closed for entries.

The Sustainable City Awards recognise and reward UK organisations, from multinational businesses to small charities, and promote outstanding achievements and innovation across all aspects of sustainabilty.

For the ninth year running the City of London Corporation will be giving organisations the chance to enter into the prestigious Sustainable City Awards.

The shortlisted organisations have been announced in January. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which is taking place on 18 February 2010 at  the Mansion House, the official residence of the City of London’s Lord Mayor.

Valerie Shawcross, CBE, receiving an award on behalf of the London Fire Brigade from the then Lady Mayoress, Lady Stuttard, and Zac Goldsmith “Despite the immensity of the environmental challenge, the truth is, almost everything  that needs doing is already being done, somewhere. If ‘best practice’ today became the norm tomorrow, we’d be half way there already. The Sustainable City Awards proves not only that solutions exist, but that where they are adopted, companies invariably flourish as a result.” Zac Goldsmith, February 2009.

RSA Environment Awards Accreditation Logo The Sustainable City Awards are one of ten UK feeder schemes to the European Business Awards. All business winners will be considered for entry into the Europe- wide scheme which takes place every two years.
