Am I eligible for a Disabled Freedom Pass?

You are eligible if:

  • You have a physical or enduring disability which has a substantial or long term affect on your mobility. An Occupational Therapy assessment may be necessary.
  • You receive Mobility Allowance or the Mobility Component of Disabled Living Allowance, or
  • You are registered with a visual impairment.

Children with disabilities are also eligible.

If you are not sure whether you are eligible please call Social Services on 020 7332 1224 or email.

How do I apply?

When you apply for a new Disabled Freedom Pass you will first need to obtain a letter of authorisation from your Local Authority. If you are a City of London resident you can request this by speaking to your care manager or occupational therapist, by contacting Community and Children’s Services or by filling out our application form.
