Support at Bart’s Hospital

The City of London provides social work services for everyone coming to St Bartholomew’s Hospital for treatment, whether you’re an outpatient or inpatient.

Social workers can offer help with sorting out your care at home when you leave hospital, practical advice and information, emotional support and support for carers and families. We work closely with hospital colleagues and with social work departments in the area where you live to do this.

If you would like to see a social worker, please ask one of the hospital staff to refer you to us. A social worker will arrange to meet you to carry out an assessment of your needs with you. Or you can phone or call in yourself:

Fourth Floor,
Gloucester House
St Bartholomew’s Hospital
West Smithfield
London EC1A 7BE
Tel 020 7601 8718
Fax 020 7601 7620

City residents can also see the Social Services pages for advice and support.
