Hospital services

These hospitals are not within the remit of the City of London but are included here for information. Details of local doctors, dentists and chemists are available in the Barbican Estate pages. For minor injuries we recommend the specialist unit at Bart's Hospital.

Minor Injuries Unit

The Minor Injuries Unit at St Bartholomew's Hospital offers a service to City residents, workers and visitors suffering from injuries such as cuts, burns, bites, sprains, broken bones, scalds, stings and strains - whether sustained at home or at work. Because of the specialist nature of this facility, it is able to offer a quicker service than that which would normally be available for minor injuries at an A&E Unit.

The unit is open from 8.00am to 8.00pm Monday to Friday (closed weekends and Bank Holidays).
The entrance is in Giltspur Street, EC1.

The Minor Injuries Unit at Barts will close on public holidays. During these periods of closure, services will be provided in the A&E Department at the Royal London Hospital.
