The Future of Tobacco Control Consultation Questionnaire

Approximately, 25% of the UK population currently smoke. Smoking continues to be the main cause of preventable illness and premature death in England. It causes around 87,000 deaths per year through a number of smoking-related illnesses.

As part of the Department of Health’s national consultation on the future of tobacco control, The City of London Corporation, City and Hackney PCT and Hackney Council would like to gather views from the local business community to feed into its consultation response. Your views are extremely important to us and will help to shape England’s long-term tobacco control strategy.

The consultation is open from 4 August and will close 29 August.

View the consultation documents and complete our survey online.

From October 2007 homes across the UK will receive a leaflet containing facts about organ donation and transplantation as well as a simple freepost form to join the ODR. Read the press release.
