Help for adults

Happy smiling coupleThe adults team has expertise in offering advice and information, support and counselling, and assistance to service users and their carers. We provide a confidential service to adults, dealing with a wide variety of issues.

If you have a mental health problem, learning disability, physical disability or problems associated with caring for someone, social workers are able to advise you on the help that is available.

You can receive an assessment of your needs, which may involve discussing with a social worker different areas of your life. After your assessment a social worker will work with you to create a 'care plan' of the help and services you can receive.

Self assessment - If you are interested in any of our adults services you can now refer yourself by filling in the following form and returning it to us.

Protection of vulnerable adults
The adult protection procedure aims to provide a system that a range of organisations or individuals can use to report and respond to situations where it is suspected, alleged or known that a vulnerable adult has been abused
Support for adults with HIV
This service provides a confidential service, counselling and emotional support, financial advice and practical advice to people diagnosed with HIV.
