Weekend visitors to the City will often encounter film companies taking advantage of the quiet streets. Last year over 670 shoots took place here, comprising feature films, television dramas, documentaries, music videos and commercials.

Filming 'A Lonely War' Features in 2001 included Spy Game, starring Robert Redford and Brad Pitt which was filmed at the Lloyds Building; The Heart of Me starring Helen Bonham-Carter and Paul Bettany which was filmed in Threadneedle Street; About a Boy starring Hugh Grant which was filmed on London Bridge; Miranda starring Christina Ricci which was filmed at the Lloyds Building; A Lonely War starring Albert Finney and Vanessa Redgrave which filmed in Fleet Street; and Dirty Pretty Things starring Audrey Tautou which was filmed in front of St Paul's Cathedral.

Inside the Great Hall, Guildhall In buildings ...

Filming inside Mansion House As well as the City streets, the City of London's film liaison office can advise and assist with with filming arrangements in City of London-owned buildings and landmarks such as Guildhall , Mansion House , Monument and Tower Bridge .
