Make your website work for you
Friday 25 May
2.00 - 4.00pm
Whittington Room
Too many business owners don't realise that commissioning a
website is not like getting a brochure printed. It is more like
buying a car. The most important question is 'will it work in the
way that I want?”. Are you a business owner who is planning on
building a website in the near future or who have a website you
would like to re-build/improve?
Monica
Thomas will discuss the principles of designing and
building a website that is easy and inexpensive to run and delivers
the sales and/or qualified sales leads to your business. She will
cover topics like: picking the right domain, knowing your audience,
rules of good layout, creating 'sticky' content, and
more.

social media and why it takes as little as 15 minutes each
day. He’ll introduce you to the main social media tools,
focusing on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, and take you through a
step-by-step guide how to set up your business profile on each of
these. We’ll show you examples of how social media can be
used to engage with potential customers as well as your existing
audience.
