Bang those drums! Blow those trumpets!

Saturday 19 May
11am – 12noon

Music is a wonderful and fun way to bring a story alive.  Bring your favourite musical instrument along and help to provide musical accompaniment for stories and generally make lots of noise at our interactive music workshop run by a tutor from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

For children aged 2 – 6

 

The Power of Flowers

Saturday 30 June
10 – 12noon

2012 marks the Golden Jubilee of the City of London Festival, the City’s annual International celebration of the Arts.  The Power of Flowers is a biodiversity-inspired literary and art event with stories of magical and useful flora and fauna and a chance to create flower themed art to take home. Children and their families will be encouraged to develop their listening, group discussion and interaction skills whilst being enchanted by tales of magical and useful flowers.

The Animalympics!

Monday 14 May
4 – 5pm

Join us for an hour of animalympic entertainment.
Illustrator Hendrik Wittkopf will be visiting to read and talk about ‘The Animalympics’,  his brilliant new picture book for children. This will be followed by a drawing/colouring workshop for children to create their own characters and stories.
