Business Information Focus is the research service of the City
Business Library, the major public business information collection
in the UK.
Why use us?
Save your time, let us do the research for you. We use the
extensive resources of the City Business Library and additional
online databases. Your request will be researched by experienced
business information specialists. We provide a tailor-made service
at a competitive price.
What can we find for you?
Company
information
We can provide you with company financials, lists of parents and
subsidiaries, information on directors, and ratings for a range of
UK and quoted International companies.
We can supply you with extracts from the City Business Library's
collection of UK quoted and overseas companies annual reports.
Market research
We have access to thousands of market reports via online
databases to which we subscribe. We can email you tables of
content free of charge. If we cannot
find a market report for you, we will try to locate relevant
industry statistics and press comment.
Mailing lists and
contacts
We use our FAME database of UK companies to search for specific
types of company by location, size, financial strength and sector.
A list can be emailed to you as an Excel spreadsheet at a
cost of £40.00 + VAT for the first 250 companies, and £10.00 + VAT
for each subsequent 250 companies, up to a maximum of 2,000
companies.
We can also produce lists from the Kompass database (UK and
international companies) as Excel spreadsheets. Contact us for
further details.
Contacts from a wide range of international businesses can
also be supplied from the extensive directory collection of the
City Business Library.
Document delivery
If you urgently need a copy of an article from our collection of
over 700 periodicals and newspapers we can generally supply you
with the material within a day, or at shorter notice if your
deadline requires it.
News and information
We have access to databases of global news and magazine
articles. We can research companies, market information
and business topics. We can check our in-house sources for articles
on specific sectors and rankings of market leaders.
Other research
We can supply you with other material including share prices,
foreign exchange rates, international statistics and economic
data.
What will it cost?
The quote is free.
Our minimum charge is £20.00 + VAT, including delivery by email,
fax or post. The hourly rate is £80.00 + VAT, but we will discuss
your search with you to keep costs to a minimum.
We accept the following credit / debit cards: Visa, MasterCard,
Maestro, Delta or American Express. We also accept Sterling
cheques made payable to “The City of London”.
