Tours of the Roman Amphitheatre under Guildhall Art Gallery led by Meriel Jeater, a curator at the Museum of London, will take place at 11.30 and 14.30. Places are very limited and although free, must be booked in advance from the Museum of London stand in the Amphitheatre. Only those with a ticket will be allowed to join a tour.

Richard York is a musician from the Tudor period.  He will roam the Maze playing his large collection of period instruments.  For 30 minutes he will be in the Basinghall Suite to talk about this fine collection and the life of a musician in Tudor England.

Other activities -

  • Talks on selected paintings in Guildhall Art Gallery
  • Demonstrations of 19th century surgery by the Old Operating Theatre Museum at 11.00am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm
  • Make a Museum - learn more about museums and have a go a creating your own!  For 8-12 year olds
  • Dress up as an ancient Romano-Briton with City of London Archaeological Society
  • Drop-in story time (stories and poems for 0-8 year olds)
  • Talks about the Chamberlain's Court and Freedom of the City of London at 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am, 12 noon and 12.30pm.
