This site aims to give you easy access to information and links to the main UK family history sites on the web. Contains links to, amongst others, The Office of National Statistics and the Family Record Centre sites.

Public Record Office
The Public Record Office is the repository of the national archives for England, Wales and the United Kingdom. The records, beginning with Domesday Book (1086), span an unbroken period from the 11th century to the present. The PRO holds many records relating to family history including Military Service and Operational records, Wills (before 1858), Death Duties and records of Non-Conformists.

Guildhall Library Manuscripts section
Guildhall Library is divided into three sections: Printed Books; Manuscripts; and Prints, Maps and Drawings. Its manuscript holdings include probate records for the Diocese of London and for St Paul's Cathedral, and the archives of almost all the City's wards and parishes. The manuscripts section site is part of the Institute for Historical Research site.

City of London Records Office
The City of London Records Office (CLRO) holds the official archives of the City of London Corporation.

City of Westminster Archives Centre
Houses extensive collections relating to Westminster past and present, including certain parish registers. The City of Westminster extends from Marylebone and Paddington in the north to Pimlico in the south, and from Hyde Park and Knightsbridge in the west to Covent Garden and Soho in the east.

Surrey History Centre
The Surrey History Service collects and preserves archives and printed material relating to all aspects of the history of Surrey. The archive collections include original records of, local government and electoral registration, churches, including registers of baptisms, marriages and burials, schools, hospitals, poor relief and charities, businesses and local organisations, manors and private estates.

Essex Record Office
The Essex Record Office collects and preserves the county's written heritage. The archives of many local organisations, families and individuals are stored here.

The Centre for Kentish Studies
The headquarters of the Kent County Archives Service. The Centre houses the records of the County Council, as well as census and parish records, wills, borough records, school records, probate records, documents deposited by companies and individuals for the mid and south Kent areas.

Business Archive Council
The BAC is not a physical repository and it holds no archive records. It is a registered charity established in 1934 for the promotion and preservation of business history - not a repository for business records.
