Coaches

Parking for coaches within the City limits is limited to Angel Street and St Martin's Le Grand (for St Paul's Cathedral), Queen Victoria Street, Fore Street (for the Barbican Centre).  There is also a dedicated coach park for the Tower of London.

Angel Street and St Martin's Le Grand

Cost: £6
Maximum stay: 90 minutes
Operational hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm and Saturday 8am - 11am

Queen Victoria Street

Bays: 8
Cost: £6 per hour
Maximum stay: 4 hours
Operational hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm and  Saturday 8am - 11am

Fore Street

Bays: 2
Cost: Free
Maximum Stay: 4 hours
Operational hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 7pm and Saturday 8am - 11am

Tower of London

Tower Hill Coach Park, Lower Thames Street (open 24 hours a day / 365 days a year).

Charges

1 April to 30 September  

1 October to 31 March

9am - 5pm - £10 for first hour 
                       £6 per hour thereafter

  9am - 5pm  £6 per hour
5pm - 9am  £20 flat fee   5pm - 9am  £20 flat fee

Maximum stay

At busy times the twelve bays against the north wall of the coach park are reserved for setting down/picking up only.  Fifteen minutes free time is allowed for this. After setting down passengers, coaches should leave and return at a time prearranged with the passengers for picking up - a further fifteen minutes free time is allowed. The four bays on the south side of the coach park are used for longer stays. When they are occupied all other coaches must leave once setting down or picking up is finished.

Taxis

There are two types of taxi bay provided for the use of licensed Hackney Carriages in the City.

Taxi rank

Taxi ranks

Taxi ranks are at various locations throughout the City. They are licensed by the Commissioner of Police and are only available for 'waiting for hire'.

Vehicles parked outside the rank are liable to receive a Penalty Charge Notice (parking ticket).

Rest bays

Taxi rest bays are provided in Angel Street, Gresham Street, Noble Street, Queen Victoria Street, Ropemaker Street and St Martin's Le Grand free of charge. These bays have a maximum stay of 30 minutes and are not to be used when plying for hire.
