The City of London Corporation and
City of London Police jointly host meetings for City residents
twice a year. These meetings take place centrally, and at a
local level.
Details about upcoming Central and Estate Residents Meetings can
be found on the City’s
Consultation
Diary.
Central City residents’ meetings
Central meetings are held twice a
year (usually in January and June) to consult and inform
residents about City wide issues, such as crime and safety,
health, planning and the environment. They also provide a
chance for residents to ask questions or raise issues with
senior representatives from the City of London Corporation and
City Police. Infrared voting handsets are used to get
residents’ views on current issues.
The minutes from the last
central City residents meetings, which took place on Monday 2
June 2008 from 12.00 noon - 2.00pm and 6.30 - 8.30pm, are now
available.

Resident estate meetings
Local estate meetings are also open to all Square Mile residents
and take place on each of the four main City estates: Barbican,

Other opportunities for residents to engage
As a landlord, the City of London’s Community and Children’s
Services Department also supports a series of forums and events
with residents living on City housing estates to discuss
housing-related matters.

events.
In addition, the City of London Police run local ward panel
meetings with residents and businesses to address specific issues
relating to crime and anti-social behaviour in local areas.
