The latest interactive voting equipment as used in the residents' meetingsCentral meetings are held twice a year (usually in January and June) to consult and inform residents about City wide issues, such as crime and safety, health, planning and the environment. They also provide a chance for residents to ask questions or raise issues with senior representatives from the City of London Corporation and City Police. Infrared voting handsets are used to get residents’ views on current issues.

In addition, the City of London Police run local ward panel meetings with residents and businesses to address specific issues relating to crime and anti-social behaviour in local areas.
