Poetry Zone 'Lines from Keats'

Poetry Appreciation group | Times and booking

This section of our website is all about the poetry of Keats and the poetry of others who inspired or were inspired by him! You can find out why Keats’s poems endure as some of the best loved by people across the world by reading some of his poems.

At Keats House we have continuing programmes of events including readings of poetry from Keats and others. We also run a poetry reading group and a play reading group.

We would like to hear from the devotees of John Keats, about why his writing matters so much to you. If you have suggestions about the content of this website, or would like to see information about any of the poems, or the items in our collections, please email us to let us know at keatshouse@cityoflondon.gov.uk!

Keats House Poetry Appreciation Group

A local cat enjoys the Keats House gardenThe first meeting of the group this year will be on Friday 28 March 2008. For other dates, please contact us.

A topic is chosen for each meeting of the group. Some poems will be chosen for the group to read, but please bring a poem or poems that you yourself would like to read and talk about. Copies for the group would be useful too.

Please note that this is a poetry reading and appreciation group, not a poetry writing group.

Times and booking

The group meets on Fridays from 2.00pm to 3.30pm.

Price: Free during 2008, but please contact us beforehand for dates and details of the venue and to make sure there are enough places.

If you would like to join the group, please contact Keats House on 020 7332 3820 or email for more information.
