Forest Festival 2008
Sunday 7 September, 10.00am - 4.00pm
Chingford Plain.
Forest Festival is our major event of the year. Put the date in
your diary and enjoy a day of free arena events including the ever
popular Knights of Middle England and a field of Forest and
community stalls.

Field Studies Centre
The Epping Forest Field Studies Centre in High Beach offers a
wide range of courses for adults, children and families across the
whole year.
Courses offered for adults include all aspects of the local
environment, learning about the countryside, its wildlife and the
environment. Many are suitable for those wanting to find out more
about the local area and some for those with a professional
interest. Courses include, Spring & Autumn Walks, Discovering
Bats, Discovering Wild Flowers, Painting & Drawing in Epping
Forest and Natural History of Veteran Trees. For a full list of

For families we offer opportunities for you to learn together.
The wide range of environmental activities are led by our excellent
trained staff and provide fun and inspiring activities under safe
supervision. Eco-Activities include 'safaris' for children during
school holidays, 'drop in days' for the whole family to come along
and take part for as long as you want, and 'family courses' with
more in depth discovery of specific subjects. Activities include:
Darwin Day, Pond Dipping, Navigation, Amphibians, Bats and Fungi.
