at Leadenhall Market on Wednesday 5 March, 2008. Olympic Gold
medallist Jonathan Edwards will be the star guest.
Find out your natural sports talents and see how fit you are by
using diagnostic equipment. There will be free fitness, strength
and reflex tests available as well as interactive information about
the Games. Visitors will also be able to take their personalised
London 2012 photos against a big Olympic backdrop.
Welcoming the roadshow to the City, Michael Snyder, Chairman of
Policy and Resources at the City of London Corporation, said:
“The ‘Get Set London Roadshow’ highlights the enormous benefits
that the London 2012 Games will have – for sports, tourism, culture
and businesses –and there are plenty of ways we can all get
involved.
I hope that City workers and residents can take a break from
their busy schedules and join us on the day.”
The roadshow has been created by London 2012, the Mayor of
London and the London Development Agency to give Londoners a unique
opportunity to find out how the 2012 Games will increase jobs and
skills opportunities and benefit culture, sport, business and
regeneration in the capital.
