Dive in to Summer at Hampstead Heath lido

Celebrate the onset of Summer 2008 with a breakfast swim at the Parliament Hill Lido, Hampstead Heath, on Saturday 3 May 2008.

Croissants, coffee and orange juice will be on offer from 9.00 to 10.00 am at the side of the Grade II listed pool to mark the beginning of the summer season, which heralds longer opening hours including early mornings and some evenings.

Bob Hall, Chairman of Hampstead Heath Management Committee, said: "The Parliament Hill lido is one of the jewels in London’s crown and we look forward to welcoming first-timers alongside the many regulars to enjoy this fantastic facility."

Swimmers of all ages can take the plunge in the 60metre, unheated outdoor pool during the following times (3 May – 28 September 2008):

Early morning swim
7am-9am. Vacate water by 9.30am.

Day swim
10am-6pm. Vacate water by 6.30pm

Evening swim (adult lane swimming only)
Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays 6.45-8pm. Vacate water by 8.30pm

Early mornings - £2/1 (under 16s and OAPs free with ID)
Evenings - £2/1
Summer day ticket - £4.30/£2,70; Family ticket £12.80
Full year season ticket - £123/77
