Dinner to the Bankers and Merchants

The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman David Lewis, will
host the annual dinner to the Bankers and Merchants on Wednesday 18
June at Mansion House.
The speakers at the dinner will be:
- The Lord Mayor of the City of London – Alderman David
Lewis
- The Chancellor of the Exchequer – Rt Hon Alistair Darling
MP
- The Governor of the Bank of England – Mervyn King
The following opportunities will be available:
- Group Photograph in Drawing Room (stills only) - 7.30pm
- Procession through Salon into Dinner - 7.35pm
- Speeches after Dinner in Egyptian Hall - from 8.30pm
To apply:
- Please submit requests on the attached application form by 12
noon, Monday 16 June. Requests will be confirmed by fax or email by
5pm, Monday 16 June.
- Security passes for accredited media will be given to them when
they arrive at Mansion House and do not need to be collected in
advance.
At the dinner:
- Photographers and reporters attending the event are asked to
arrive at Mansion House between 6.30pm and 7pm and should enter via
the Security Lodge (facing Bank Junction), where they will be given
their security passes.
- Please ensure that all members of the media are suitably
dressed in dark lounge suits or the equivalent for ladies.
- Please also ensure that all mobile telephones and pagers are
switched off throughout the event.
