The remit of the health and safety team includes the provision of free advice to individuals and organisations on their duties.

We are able to signpost you to a variety of health & safety information sources, many of which are available as free downloads from the Health and Safety Executive’s website.
We have also had involvement in issues which relate specifically to the unique risk profiles present in the Square Mile. This has led to the production of specific guidance and advice such as the Shared Duty Legionella Guidance (155kb) for dutyholders in premises where there are several parties involved in managing the risk.
The team are also available to give talks and presentations to a range of interest groups both locally and nationally in order to promote health & safety in the 'Square Mile' and the work of the City of London Corporation generally.
We are also currently able to assist in helping organisations achieve accreditation in the London Healthy Workplaces Charter. Further details regarding the Charter and our involvement are available on our London healthy workplace charter page.
Health and safety training for non-employees is currently not provided by the City of London. However a number of professional institutes and bodies exist that provide and endorse health and safety training nationally and links are provided below to their websites.
