Introduction

If you live and work in the City of London you can still register to vote on both the Register of Electors (for residents only) and on the Ward Lists (for residents and businesses). However, you can only be registered on the Ward Lists once.

This means that you have to choose which address to be registered at for the Ward Lists. If you are going to choose to register at your home address then please click here for more information on residential registration. If you choose to do this then someone else can be nominated to vote at the business instead of you (if you are not a sole trader or equity partner in a partnership) as long as they are eligible to register.

If you choose to register to vote at your business address for the Ward Lists then you can find out more about how organisations register to vote here.

If you do register twice on the Ward Lists then the Electoral Services Office will contact you before the final Ward Lists is published to find out which address you should be registered at.
