Biography
John Bennett graduated in biochemistry from Christ Church, Oxford. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a Fellow of the Securities & Investment Institute and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. He spent 35 years in various roles in International Banking and during this time developed a keen interest in banking compliance and regulation. He retired from Deutsche Bank in 2005 after serving as Director of Compliance and UK Money Laundering Reporting Officer. He is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers, a member of the Guildhall Historical Association and is a Past Chairman of the Broad Street Ward Club. His interests range from the visual and performing arts to bridge, tennis, keeping fit and travel.
