City of London Apprenticeship Scheme
The City of London Apprenticeship Scheme is a government funded programme that supports businesses to employ young people to gain experience in the workplace whilst enhancing businesses services.
What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a mix of real work and learning. Apprentices earn a wage and get experience whilst working towards a number of qualifications. The City of London currently offer apprenticeships at intermediate level and advanced level.
There are a number of elements to each apprenticeship and this is called the framework. Each apprenticeship framework has three main strands:
The three stands are sometimes accompanied by additional qualifications to give the most relevant skills and knowledge required for the job.

- Business Administration
- Customer Service
- Animal Care
- Marine Engineering
- Supporting Teaching and Learning
- Children and Young Peoples Workforce
- Professional Cookery
