International Women's Day 2013

International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated around the world. The occasion is marked annually in the City of London where we use the opportunity to acknowledge success, and the valuable contribution women make in the workplace and to society.

Following on from the overwhelming success of previous International Women's Day events, the 2012 breakfast event was one to remember.

The event began with a champagne breakfast and a chance to view a variety of informative stalls and network with men and women from organisations across the City.

A variety of guest speakers gave inspiring talks about the success they have enjoyed in their careers and their individual paths to success. The speeches were followed by handing out the raffle prizes which had been generously donated by a variety of companies.

The Safer City Partnership has been a supporter of the City of London International Women’s Day since its inception seven years ago. This year’s event takes place on Friday 8 March here at Guildhall between 8 and 11am.
