The 2014-2015 Sustainable City Awards
Celebrity chef Loyd Grossman hosted the 14th annual Sustainable City Awards at the Mansion House on 23 March 2015. He emphasised that the awards "play a role in providing great sustainability examples, not just for us in the UK but for those around the world".
This year we had over 250 applications - a 10 percent increase from last year. The standard of applications this year was exceptionally high. Awards were presented to the winners and highly commended organisations in 13 categories. Amongst the winners were Willmott Dixon Construction for its work on WWF-UK's head office, the Living Planet Centre and the Business Improvement District Inmidtown for its efforts to promote energy saving and air quality for its client businesses.
The overall winner, receiving the Venus London River Development Trophy, was Argent LLP for its role in The Kings Cross redevelopment, one of London's most important regeneration projects.
The winners received extensive coverage in the press, including articles in City A.M. and live interviews on London Live. Find the RSA press release (426KB) here.
A full list of winners and highly commended organisations will be available shortly.
