Visiting the City Gardens

The City Gardens offer many opportunities to relax and retreat from the bustle of the City, they also offer the chance to explore some of the City's past history, such as the remnants of the Roman Wall which once formed the boundary to the City.

To find out more about the Gardens managed by the City of London why not explore our website or download the City Gardens Leaflet below.

Walks around the Gardens

The City of London contains many hidden gardens and peaceful churchyards which provide a welcome reprieve from the hectic hustle and bustle of City Life, although it is only sometimes the brave who wander through the maze of medieval streets to find them. In order to help any intrepid explorers to discover the delights of the Square Mile we have produced a series of City Gardens Walks Leaflets, tailored to suit a range of interests. Copies of the Walks Leaflet can be downloaded from the maps and leaflets pages, alternatively you can request a copy from the City Gardens Team.

The City Guides offer guided walks around the City Gardens which provide a fun and interactive way to enjoy the vast history and makings of the City Gardens.

How to find the City Gardens

Our gardens are hidden away all around the Square Mile, so you might need some help finding them. You can download our map of the gardens from the link below, and use Streetmap to help you find the exact location.

Our map will also help you find useful local amenities, such as public toilets and car parking, and you can plan your journey using the Transport for London Journey Planner .

Remember when you are using search engines to find our gardens to use the street name rather than the garden name.
