The City of London Corporation has a firm commitment to minimising the loss to the organisation and public purse resulting from fraud and corruption both internally and externally, and as such has an Anti-Fraud and Corruption strategy endorsed by members of the Audit and Risk Management Committee, in order to assist in the achievement of these aims.
Anti fraud and corruption strategy
The Anti-Fraud and Corruption strategy is designed to encourage prevention and promote detection of both fraud and corruption against the City Corporation, whilst at the same time ensuring the effective investigation and prosecution of offenders where appropriate.
The Anti-Fraud and Corruption strategy (240KB) sets out the expectation that Members, employees, individuals and organisations be honest and fair in any dealings they may have with the City Corporation, whilst also setting out the ways in which the organisation seeks to deter, detect, prevent and investigate allegations of fraud and corruption.
