The City Business Library subscribes to a range of specialist resources containing statistics on goods and services, demographics and economies in the UK and countries worldwide. All of these resources can be used free of charge in the Library.

Global Trade Tracker gives detailed import and export statistics derived from official national or international agencies. Statistics are available for over 90 countries.

MarketLine Advantage includes Market Data Analytics: Historical statistics up to 10 years and forecasts for up to five years for beverages; food; household products; news and magazines; personal care; pet care; and tobacco covering nearly 50 countries, helping you to understand the retail sales dynamics of your markets. Country Statistics provides macro/socio-economic and demographic data for 215 countries worldwide; both actual and forecast. This service also has over 4000 market sector and over 35,000 company reports.  Available remotely.

Passport (Euromonitor) provides a wide range of statistics covering countries worldwide allowing the comparison of retail volumes and values; company and brand shares; pricing and distribution channels; economic, demographic and marketing statistics on countries and their consumer lifestyles, along with forecasts. In addition the service provides market reports on consumer and industrial sectors on a global, regional and country basis. A typical report includes market size, market sectors, market shares, consumer profiles, company profiles, distribution, market forecasts and sector forecasts.

Statista provides a wide variety of statistics on countries, markets, imports/exports and demographics.

Newspapers and business periodicals: there is a comprehensive selection of newspapers, business and trade periodicals in the library. Business Source Premiere and European Newsstream are journal and newspaper databases which may have relevant figures and articles.  Both are available remotely.
