London is one of the greenest major cities in the world, with 35,000 acres of public parks, woodlands and gardens, which mean that that nearly 40% of its surface area is made up of public green space.

Through an extensive literature review this report, authored by BOP Consulting, examines the environmental, health, social and economic benefits Londoners enjoy from the capital’s much-loved green spaces.

The City of London Corporation is a major provider of green spaces in London, managing almost 11,000 acres in and around the capital.
