Recent reforms in the insurance sector, India’s continuing economic growth and the Government of India’s drive to bring in financial reform has helped to promote discussions on developing India’s insurance and reinsurance sector across the Indian based financial sector. The position paper suggests a series of recommendations for the consideration of Indian policy makers and regulators, on how to create the right market conditions to increase insurance penetration and to position India as a leading reinsurance hub.
