India is poised for strong economic growth, but a robust physical infrastructure will be required to support the desired level of growth. While progress both in terms of financing and in project management has been made over the last decade, there remain key challenges.

This report highlights current discussions on India’s PPP programme, against the backdrop of the current Government of India’s strategy for infrastructure development. It provides recommendations from an Indian industry viewpoint to address some of the key issues in the Indian PPP framework, drawing on lessons learned from the international community.
