Brexit: Continuity of cross-border financial contracts. The argument for a public sector solution

The City of London has published a Q&A which summarises the ramifications for EEA clients and counterparties, including consumers and SMEs, if there is no EU-UK Brexit withdrawal agreement ('no deal') and therefore no transition period. It highlights why private, industry led solutions will not be sufficient to minimise disruption and proposes the most appropriate solution is at the EU-level given the constrained time-frame. It is based on analysis undertaken by trade associations and representing global, EU and UK businesses and clients.
